The history of
Weisshorn Asset Management
Weisshorn Asset Management was founded in 2015 by a team of experienced Asset Managers, each with over a decade of independent experience. Since its founding, the firm has been providing bespoke portfolio management services to high-net-worth private clients, focusing on wealth preservation and growth across generations.
Since it secured a CISA license from FINMA, Weisshorn launched an Asset Management division that now manages regulated mutual funds. This expansion allows the company to offer a diverse range of investment opportunities within a robust regulatory framework.
Dedicated to aligning asset allocations with clients’ private and financial needs, Weisshorn prioritizes delivering the highest possible risk-adjusted returns.

Alexandre de Boccard, Chairman of the Board of Directors
After graduating in law in 2003 from the Geneva University and a LL.M. from the Georgetown University in Washington DC in 2007, Mr. de Boccard acquired his experience in the banking department of a prestigious Swiss law firm. In 2013, Alexandre joined Ochsner & Associés in Geneva as a specialist in financial market regulation. Member of the Bar of New York and Geneva, Mr. de Boccard brings to Weisshorn Asset Management SA a valuable legal and regulatory know-how.

Thierry Michel, CEO, Founder
Following his university degree in Geneva, Thierry joined a major international Swiss bank as a Wealth manager. In 2004, Thierry became director of the bank. Later on, he decided to launch his own wealth management company to be closer to his customers, which is what he most values.
Lucas Matti, CFA, Portfolio Manager
While studying at the HES-SO in Geneva, Lucas started his career at Bruellan SA where he assisted the CIO in the management of 2 equity funds during 2 years. After graduating from the HES-SO, he took the position of junior portfolio manager in the centralized portfolio management team of Bruellan. Lucas has a focus on the equity market and he is a CFA Charterholder.
Tarik Garidi, PhD, Portfolio Manager
Tarik has two decades of experience within leading firms in portfolio and risk management roles. Notable positions include group head of market, liquidity, and investment risk at Lombard Odier (6 years) and systematic trading at Brevan Howard (5 years). Prior to this, Tarik served as a researcher and product manager at RiskMetrics (now part of MSCI). Tarik holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from university Paris Diderot and is currently teaching mathematics machine learning and computer vision at HEPIA (part of HES-SO).
Denis Lattion, Senior Manager
After a solid banking education, Denis began his career with the Swiss Bank Corporation in Geneva. Since 1990, he has been working in the field of wealth management for Swiss and international private clients. While holding positions of responsibility in various banks, he continued his education and obtained a degree in business management, a DESS and then an MBA. In 2018, he received a federal certification as an Asset Management Consultant (LSFIN-CWMA).
Sonia Scaraggi, COO, Responsible for Customer Relationship
Sonia began her career in Wealth Management at UBS, working in both Geneva and Barcelona. After more than a decade, she joined TM & Partners, an independent asset management firm, in 2004, contributing to its growth until the establishment of Weisshorn Asset Management in 2015.
Christina Gaud, Customer Relationship Assistant
Christina began her career with BCGe bank, then with Coutts & Co in Wealth Management. After more than 20 years with the bank, she joined Weisshorn Asset Management in 2016, shortly after its creation in 2015.

Alexandre graduated in Economics and Management from the University of Geneva. At Weisshorn, he collaborates with both the Asset Management and Wealth Management teams.
Alexandre Gulino, CIO
After completing his studies in Geneva, Alexandre joined a large international Swiss bank as an advisor on equity and derivatives markets. During this period, Alexandre gets his financial analyst diplomas CFPI (AZEK) and CIIA. After a brief period working with a Geneva private bank as a technical analyst, Alexandre embarks as asset manager in 2006 by co-founding OAM Finance SA where he developed and implemented the investment strategy according to the various mandates given by clients.

Yan Zanus-Fortès
Yan started his career as an Accountant and Controller with Bacardi Group (1996-2001), at the Finance Department. After several years, he has decided to seek a new professional challenge and joined External Asset Manager in Geneva. During these past years, he became associate and focused on Private Equity, Equity and Bonds market. Yan has over 20 years’ experience as an asset manager. To increase growth, he brings together few professionals to create a new asset management company, duly regulated by the FINMA, where, he is acting as a passive shareholder. At the same time, he decided to expend his business network with a new family office and asset manager in Dubai and Mauritius.
